REGULAR MEETING- MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2010
The Council of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam held its regular meeting duly assembled in the Council Chambers of the Town of Erickson on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010 at 9:00 am.
Members Present: Reeve Victor Baraniuk;
Councillor Jim Nylen;
Councillor Dave Maduke;
Councillor Les Woloshen;
CAO Kat Bridgeman;
Members Absent: Councillor Mitch Synchyshyn;
- Call to Order;
Reeve Baraniuk called the meeting to order at 9:00 pm.
- Adoption of the Agenda;

Be It Resolved That the agenda be adopted as presented.

Be It Resolved that the minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 11th, 2010 as adopted as circulated.

- Delegations and Petitions;
a) Joyce Robinson – Beaver problems – 10:30am;
Mrs. Joyce Robinson attended the meeting to discuss problem beaver with council. The state of the bridge near her property and the need for repairs was also discussed.
- Finance;
a) List of Accounts for Approval;

Be It Resolved That Council approve the payment of the August 2010 accounts as recommended by the Finance Committee and as represented by cheque no.’s 4811 to 4865 inclusive and totalling $ 84,322.71 from the General Account of the R.M. of Clanwilliam.

Be It Resolved That Council approve the indemnities and expenses for council members for August 2010 as follows:
Reeve Victor Baraniuk $ 400.00;
Councillor Jim Nylen $ 350.00;
Councillor Dave Maduke $ 300.00;
Councillor Les Woloshen $ 300.00;
Councillor Mitch Synchyshyn $ 300.00.

Be It Resolved that Council of The Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam approve the Unaudited Financial Statements for the month of August 2010 as presented.

Be It Resolved That the Council for the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam recess the Regular Meeting of Council at 9:30 am to sit as a Public Hearing to hear application for Variation Order.

Be It Resolved That the Public Hearing does now adjourn at 10:00 am and that Council continue with the Regular Meeting.

MADUKE - NYLEN
Whereas: Trevor & Maria Russell owners of the property legally described as being;
Lot 9, Block 1, Plan 31257, Ditch Lake
and located in the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam, applied to the Council in accordance with Section 55(1) of The Planning Act, to vary the minimum requirements of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam’s Zoning By-law No. 1313-86 as amended as it applies to this property, as follows:
To reduce the minimum side yard requirement from 5 feet to 1 foot 6 inches.
For the purpose of: To allow for the location of an already constructed accessory shed so that it may conform to the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam Zoning By-Law No. 1313-86 as amended.
And after careful consideration of the application and any representations made for or against the variation sought by the applicant, the Council of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam, in a meeting duly assembled this 8th day of September 2010.
Approve the said Application for Variation
Approval is given subject to the following conditions:
The possibility of eaves troughing on the shed may have to be looked into in the future.
This variation order shall expire if not acted upon within 12 months of the date of approval. Prior to the expiry of the 12 month approval period, it may be extended for only one additional period not exceeding 12 months, at the discretion of Council.
