RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF CLANWILLIAM

SPECIAL MEETING- MINUTES

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15^TH, 2010

 

The Council of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam held a special meeting duly assembled in the Council Chambers of RM of Clanwilliam on Wednesday, September 15^th, 2010 at 5:00 pm.

 

Members Present:             Reeve Victor Baraniuk;

Councillor Jim Nylen;

Councillor Les Woloshen;

CAO Kat Bridgeman;

 

Members Absent:   Councillor Dave Maduke;

Councillor Mitch Synchyshyn;

 

1. Call to Order;

Reeve Baraniuk called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.

 

2. Adoption of the Agenda;

 

Resolution No. 237/10

NYLEN - WOLOSHEN

 

Be It Resolved That the agenda be adopted as presented.

 

CARRIED

 

3. Purpose of the Meeting;

a)     Variation Order - Russell;

 

Resolution No. 238/10

WOLOSHEN - NYLEN

 

Whereas a Public Hearing was held on September 8^th, 2010 to hear an application for Variation on Lot 9, Block 1, Plan 31257;

 

And Whereas an objection was sent by registered mail to the municipal office;

 

And Whereas said registered mail was not picked up in time for the hearing;

 

And Whereas Council has agreed to hear the objection out of fairness to the objector;

 

And Whereas after reviewing the objection and determining that the objection does not provide any reason as to why they object to the variation itself;

 

And Whereas variations are routinely provided to applicants in order to accommodate lots in Ditch Lake;

 

Therefore Be It Resolved That council does not believe that the objection has any bearing on the variation itself.

b)     RM Municipal Shed;

 

Resolution No. 239/10

WOLOSHEN - NYLEN

 

Be It Resolved That a permit for the building of a new 60 x 80 municipal shed be obtained through the Office of the Fire Commissioner and through the SRMPD.

4.  Adjournment;

Be It Resolved That the Special Council Meeting does now adjourn at 5:50pm.
