SPECIAL MEETING- MINUTES

MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2011

 

The Council of the Rural Municipality of Clanwilliam held a special meeting duly assembled in the Council Chambers of the RM of Clanwilliam on Monday, June 20^th, 2011 at 9:00 am.

 

Members Present:             Reeve Victor Baraniuk;

Councillor Jim Nylen;

Councillor Les Woloshen;

Councillor Kristy Vermiere

CAO Kat Bridgeman;

 

Members Absent:   Councillor Dave Maduke;

 

1. Call to Order;

Reeve Baraniuk called the meeting to order at 9:00 pm.

 

2. Adoption of the Agenda;

 

Resolution No. 128/11

NYLEN - WOLOSHEN

 

Be It Resolved That the agenda be adopted as presented.

3. Purpose of the Meeting;

 

Resolution No. 129/11

VERMIERE - WOLOSHEN

 

Whereas the RM of Clanwilliam and Clanwilliam ratepayers have suffered damage due to excessive spring run-off and rain;

 

And Whereas the excessive spring run-off have damaged municipal and private property;

 

Therefore Be It Resolved That the council of the RM of Clanwilliam does hereby make a request to the Manitoba Emergency Management Organization and the Province of Manitoba that municipal and private property located in the RM of Clanwilliam be eligible for disaster financial assistance.

NYLEN - WOLOSHEN

 

Be It Resolved That Council approve the purchase of 8 more beaver levellers from the Little Saskatchewan River Conservation District.
