REGULAR MEETING- MINUTES

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13^TH, 2010

 

The Council of the Town of Erickson held its regular meeting duly assembled in the Council Chambers of the Town of Erickson on Wednesday, October 13^th, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.

 

Members Present: Mayor Cate Watrous;

Councillor Tami Johnson

Councillor Donna Vaughan;

Councillor Brian Schnell;

CAO Kat Bridgeman;

 

1. Call to Order;

Mayor Watrous called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm.

 

2. Adoption of the Agenda;

Be It Resolved That the agenda be adopted as presented.

3. Adoption of Minutes;

SCHENLL - JOHNSON

 

Be It Resolved That Council adopt the minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 22^nd, 2010 and the Special Meetings of October 1^st, and October 6^th, 2010 as circulated.

Councillor Vaughan attended the meeting at 5:16pm.

 

4. Delegations and Petitions – S. Wozney – 5:15pm;

 

Mr. Steve Wozney attended the meeting to discuss the following with Council:

1)     Digging out of ditch west of his residence to improve drainage;

2)     Police presence in the Town of Erickson;

3)     Street paving;

 

5. Finance;

a)     List of Accounts for Approval;

 

Resolution No.  259/10

JOHNSON - VAUGHAN

 

Be It Resolved That Council approve the payment of the September2010 accounts as recommended by the Finance Committee and as represented by cheque no.’s  5692 to 5747 inclusive and totalling $ 26,118.37  from the General Account of the Town of Erickson, and Utility represented by cheque no.’s 793 to 803 inclusive and totalling $ 2,774.64.

b)     Approval of Council Indemnities;

Be It Resolved That Council approve the indemnities and expenses for council members for September 2010 as follows:

 

Mayor Cate Watrous                        $ 362.00;

Councillor Tami Johnson                  $ 348.00;

Councillor Donna Vaughan              $ 387.00;

Councillor Brian Schnell                   $ 292.00.

c)     Financial Statement – September 2010;

Be It Resolved that Council of The Town of Erickson approve the Unaudited Financial Statements for the month of September 2010.

6. New Business;

Be It Resolved That Council for the Town of Erickson authorize the transfer to Reserves as follows:

 

a)   Fire Equipment Reserve:                                 $2,500.00;

b)   General Reserve:                                               $6,000.00;

c)   Replacement Reserve:                                                  $6,000.00;

d)   Streets and Roads Reserve:                                         $15,000.00;

e)   Airport Reserves                                                            $2,000.00;

Be It Resolved That $1098.96 be transferred from the Vet Clinic Reserve to General Operating Fund as per the 2010 Financial Plan to cover the cost of the Veterinary Services annual levy.

Be It Resolved That Council cancel the regular meeting of October 27^th, 2010 due to the Elections.
